March 03, 2018 - 74 views

On Saturday 3rd March, the day had finally come – The Youth Radio Network went live on air! This new online radio station broadcasts 24/7 with a great selection of music and specialist programming.

The launch weekend kicked off at 9am with the stations founder, Keiran Harvey. He had lots of songs lined up to kick start our exciting new sound.

Thought the day were shows including Paul Baker, and we also are proud to be broadcasting  Airplay 40 with Spencer James which is your ultimate weekly chart count down.

We are always on the lookout for people to join the Youth Radio Network! If you want to join the presenting team, you can have past experience of radio, but if not and you want to have a go then don’t worry. All new presenters will get initial training which will give you the basic knowledge everything from how to present your own show, the station identity and use of our virtual studio.

Yes that’s right – as YRN is an online radio station you are able to broadcast from anywhere in the UK and indeed across the world. All you need is a good internet connection.

Other opportunities available at the station include working with the broadcast team, including scheduling and producing shows. You could work in events, fundraising, admin, web support, social media and lots more.

To express an interest in volunteering with the Youth Radio Network, send an initial email to recruitment@theyouthradionetwork.com or call  0330 113 1520.
